How does it work?
First, a concrete slab is poured as the foundation. Then the first row of blocks is placed. Reinforcement is placed between the blocks both vertically and horizontally. After that, they are filled with concrete and allowed to cure completely.
Once it has hardened, a geotextile fabric is laid on top, and then the pool is lined with liner fabric. This is available in many different colors and designs.
We offer two different variants of the thermoblocks: thermoblock 3.0 and the other called thermoblock 4.0 Extreme.
Above ground thermopool 3.0 STD
Thermoblock 3.0 is called the third generation thermoblock. It is built by pouring a reinforced base slab. Then the blocks, made of a polystyrene material, are assembled with the hard side facing inward.
This hard interior side of the blocks prevents unsightly marks that can otherwise be caused by heels, knees, balls, and other hard objects that may be present in the pool. This way, you avoid plastering and installing panels on the inside of the pool.
The blocks measure 100cm in height and 25cm in width.
Above ground thermopool 4.0 EXTREME
Just like thermopool 3.0, thermopool 4.0 Extreme is similar in the building system and consists of molded EPS elements. They provide you with a finished wall with double-sided insulation without thermal bridges.
Thermopool 4.0 Extreme is a full-fledged building system especially suitable for pools, foundation walls, vacation homes, garages, and industrial premises, among others.
4.0 Extreme, like thermopool 3.0, consists of blocks with a hard interior. The difference is that these blocks are larger and more efficient.
The thermoblocks for thermopool 4.0 Extreme weigh only about 1.5 kg and stack like building blocks. Because the assembly is simple and the blocks are lightweight, the building process is fast and results in less workload compared to other building systems.
The 4.0 blocks measure 125cm in length and 37.5cm in height. This means you only need 4 rows for a 1.50m deep pool instead of 6 rows. This saves reinforcement bars, concrete, and reduces work time compared to the 3.0 blocks.
Is an above ground pool right for you?
Do you dream of an above ground pool? Maybe build a lovely wooden deck around your pool where the whole family can enjoy the sun and water. Browse and choose from our pool models to find one that fits your garden or plot.
Our above ground pools are of the highest quality. Choose whether your pool should stand above ground or if you want a partially in-ground pool. The thermopools have a very stable construction and frame, so you can feel safe when the family takes a swim. Choose the shape and size that best suits your needs and property.
It can be tempting to choose cheaper alternatives, but a Thermopool above ground offers both better insulation and longer durability. It might seem easy to install, but we recommend having prior construction knowledge for our above ground thermopool products. A thermopool above ground is relatively inexpensive to purchase; the labor is the more costly part.
How long does it take?
Building an above ground pool takes about 6-10 weeks. This includes one week for excavation, base preparation, drainage, and pouring the base slab. Then it takes a few days to build and reinforce the pool blocks before filling them with concrete.
After that, you must wait 4 weeks for the concrete to cure. Since the concrete is encapsulated without access to oxygen, it takes longer to cure than usual when using this material.

Above ground pool – a smart choice for your garden
Investing in an above ground pool has many advantages. It is both easier and cheaper to install than in-ground pools, while giving you and your family the opportunity to enjoy swimming throughout the summer.
Choose a pool that fits your needs
When choosing a pool, it is important to consider the shape and size. A round pool is convenient to place in smaller gardens and creates a cozy swimming environment, while a rectangular above ground pool is well suited for those who want more space to swim. Whether you want a small or large pool, there are different sizes to choose from. Our pools are made of quality materials and last for many years, making them a long-term investment for your home.
How to place your above ground pool
For the pool to be stable and last longer, it is important to consider where it will be placed. The ground should be even and firm to keep the pool stable through all seasons. If you want an extra durable construction, you can also build a rectangular pool with a frame around it for better support.
Materials and durability
A cast concrete pool is a popular solution for those who want a permanent and extra durable pool. Regardless of the material, it is important to protect the pool against weather and wind to ensure it lasts for many years. With proper care and maintenance, your pool can provide many enjoyable swimming seasons ahead.
