The absolute latest technology for powering a pool using solar panels. Conventional circulation pumps are alternating current pumps (AC), while solar panels generate direct current (DC). Lorentz circulation pumps are direct current pumps that run at varying speeds depending on how much the solar panels generate. With 3-4 solar panels (each measuring 1.1 x 1.8 m) oriented east-southwest, solar pumps work excellently from the end of March to October, right during the pool season, without consuming a single cent of electricity from the grid. These pumps can be combined with existing solar panels.
