ThermoPP – Whole tub with the latest technology without carcinogenic PVC liner
ThermoPP pool consists of PP instead of liner. PP is a material that withstands higher temperatures while you don’t have to worry about children’s toys damaging the liner.
The type of polypropylene used in our pools comes from the German company Röchling and is specially designed for pool manufacturing with UV-stabilized PP. The plastic being UV-stable means that the only change to the material over time is that it develops a more matte surface instead.
The material is available in several colors and allows the production of special seating benches, various types of stairs, overflow systems, and only imagination sets the limits.

ThermoPP pool as a complete tub – quick installation
ThermoPP Pool is delivered as a complete tub and the installation is quick and easy. When installing the pool, you dig a hole where the pool will be placed, then lay down geotextile fabric, drainage, and base layer, and pour a slab. After this, the bottom insulation comes together with the pool, which you place down. As soon as the pool has been lowered into the hole, you can connect the pool, remove the protective film, and start filling the walls with reinforcement and liquid concrete. After about a week, you can start filling the inside with water and backfill around it with the soil you have dug up.
A typical installation time for a ThermoPP Pool is about a week from when the excavator started digging the hole.

Tolerates temperatures above 33 degrees
A pool is meant to be enjoyed without feeling cold while swimming, which is why many of our customers want a bathing temperature of 28 or even 30 degrees in the pool. This is no problem with a ThermoPP Pool as the material can withstand temperatures even above 33 degrees.

Beton pool – A stable construction
The ThermoPP Pool is filled with liquid concrete on the sides just like a regular thermopool. This makes the pool a concrete pool, which is the absolutely most stable you can get and lasts the longest of all types of pools without rusting or rotting.
The combination of a PP pool and thermopool gives you the best of both worlds. You get a concrete pool that has all the advantages of the PP pool, such as long durability, no risk of rot, and can withstand higher temperatures. -
Insulates better than other pool constructions
The material polypropylene is an insulating plastic and additionally has a 25cm thermoblock on the outside, which makes the pool's insulation unbeatable. By insulating both the sides and the bottom, we have created maximum insulation for the pool. Only 6% of the heat escapes through the pool's walls and bottom, making the insulation for the ThermoPP Pool nearly complete. However, 94% of the heat (which rises upwards) must be protected, and for that, a pool cover or the most suitable type of slatted cover is required.

The staircase is an important part of the pool's construction. Until 2011, the stairs were built with a substructure, meaning that cement was filled under the stairs. This outdated construction has been problematic both during installation and due to settling and movements in the ground. Over the years, most manufacturers have chosen to replace it with a water-filled staircase instead. The pool itself is manufactured as a single water barrier, and then the staircase is made inside the pool. This means there is no risk of the pool leaking if settling occurs at the staircase section. Under the stairs, there is water circulation directly from the sand filter, which is purified, and since algae do not form in darkness, there is no need to worry about water quality under the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, there are inlets where the water then circulates out into the pool.
Our stairs are made of semi-protected material “cubic grain” which is edge-free and a true masterpiece! Choose between a straight or rounded corner staircase with a seating bench, floating staircase, or full gable staircase. The staircase's construction is very stable and does not flex thanks to skilled engineering calculations.

Hur bygger man en ThermoPP pool?
1. A hole is dug and drainage is installed, and a slab is poured.
On the slab, you can either have a 10 x 10 cm groove along where the pool wall will go, or alternatively, you can also have rebar drilled into the slab according to the options below:
-
Cast slab with groove
-
Cast slab with vertical reinforcement
2. Laying insulation on the slab
-
Set up the insulation upon the pool's arrival
-
If necessary, tape the insulation in place
3. Lifting in the pool
-
4. Install the base fabric (skirt) on the side and place the pool
-
-
5. Fill with water about 10cm (to prevent the pool from moving)
-
6. Brace the walls with wooden studs on the inside
-
7. Fill the sides of the pool with draining material, alternatively you can refill with the soil you have dug up, but then you must install a Platon mat on the sides of the pool
-
8. Insert vertical reinforcement bars in the pool walls. If part of the pool is above ground, horizontal bars should also be installed (which are pressed in on the sides)
-
9. Fill the pages with concrete and let it cure for about 10 days
-
10. Fill the pool with water

Sweden's best-selling pools are lined with PVC liner fabric despite the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation stating the following about PVC fabric:
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC; vinyl)
PVC or vinyl, as the liner is also called, is made from vinyl chloride which is carcinogenic and thus meets our criteria for hazardous chemicals. The plastic contains flame-retardant properties due to its high chlorine content, and can be customized with additives to achieve desired material strength, flexibility, transparency, or color. The fact that PVC can have so many properties makes it widely used, for example in windows/window frames, cable sheaths, floor mats, wall sockets, sealing strips in refrigerator doors, packaging and plastic films for food, blood bags, dialysis tubes, toys, bags and shoes, parts in the automotive industry, and more. PVC is also found in rainwear, shower curtains, wipeable tablecloths ("oilcloths"), inflatable mattresses, swimming pools and pool toys, as artificial leather on furniture and covers on cushions and mattresses. In terms of production volume, PVC is one of the five most important types of plastic in Europe.
PVC often contains plasticizers, many of which phthalates have been banned from use in plastic manufacturing within the EU since early 2015 due to their inherent hazardous properties. Therefore, we advise against the use of old PVC as well as PVC imported from outside the EU, as these products do not comply with the same legislation as newly manufactured products produced within the EU.

PVC is a hard plastic, and to make the fabric soft, plasticizers are added. This is what the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation writes about the plasticizer in PVC fabric:
Plasticizers Plasticizers make hard plastic soft and flexible. Most plasticizers are not bound to the polymer and therefore leak out of the material over time. Most plasticizers are used for PVC plastic. Many of these plasticizers are carcinogenic, hormone-disrupting, reproductive toxic, and/or harmful to aquatic organisms. Various phthalates are well-known examples of problematic plasticizers. Four phthalates (DEHP, DIBP, DBP, and BBP) are listed on the authorization list, which means companies need permission to use them. However, this only applies to companies within the EU.
Most liner manufacturers do not provide warranties above 28 degrees on their products because the plasticizer is released from the PVC, which then ends up in the pool water.
