Today there are many different ways to build a pool and many different materials to choose from. There are many different types of pools on the market, and these can be divided into two categories. Pools that are delivered in parts, and those that are delivered as a "whole pool". With a pool delivered as a "whole pool", your installation is much faster, and you do not need to have a PVC liner in your pool.

  • Termoplastic pool / PP pool, environmentally friendly "full bathtub" complete pool package

    Thermoplastic pool or polypropylene pool (PP Pool) / Plastic pool is the latest technology in the pool industry. The pool material consists of an environmentally friendly material called polypropylene and belongs to the group of thermoplastics. These have an extremely good insulating ability.

    Thermoplastic pools are delivered as a "single shell" just like fiberglass pools. Since polypropylene is a homogeneous material, osmosis/bubble disease does not occur. Something that can happen in cheap fiberglass pools that contain polyester. The material is very durable, which means that even dogs can swim in the pool!   • Glasfiberpool

    This pool is delivered as a "complete shell." This type of pool has been highly sought after in the market in recent years. At Pooltime, we carefully select our suppliers to ensure that your pool's lifespan is as long as possible. Fiberglass is a very sensitive material, which makes it especially important to choose the right supplier.
    The reason is that cheap (low-quality) fiberglass pools containing polyester can develop something called blistering or osmosis. Where the polyester slowly allows water to pass through and then freezes in winter. This causes your pool to crack and/or mold in the summer and form bubbles on the surface layer.

    Our supplier offers the world's most unique pool made with the patented Composite Armour technology. These fiberglass pools are also called composite pools.

    Composite pools contain a mesh of kevlar and carbon fiber, which makes the pool walls flexible but also incredibly durable. Composite pools contain only vinylester and not polyester, which is why these pools come with a lifetime warranty.

  • Overground pool / children's pool

    Above-ground pools, also known as kiddie pools, come in many different sizes. What they have in common is that they are above ground and are a self-supporting structure made of a metal frame and liner.

    Above-ground pools / kiddie pools are usually basic models, where you first buy an above-ground pool as a family pool, as a test. Many who have tried an above-ground pool often then invest in an in-ground pool as a permanent in-ground pool.

  • The location of your pool

    It is very important to place your pool correctly. Not only for practical reasons, such as where your pipes run, but also for optimal use of the pool. It is also a permanent decision; the pool’s location cannot be changed once the pool is installed and finished.

    It is a good idea to place your pool in a nice gathering spot in the garden. However, not too close to the exits from the house, so you won’t be at risk of falling into the pool every time you go out. But also not too far from the house, as seeing the pool is a pleasure for many. Many people feel comfortable being close to water and seeing the blue water sparkle in the pool. It is something you never get tired of. It is also good to have good supervision of the pool if you have children or pets.

  • Pool cover

    Another thing to remember is to have a couple of meters of free space behind the pool if you want a pool cover. What many don't consider is that the pool cover needs space when it is not covering the pool. This is usually called the pool cover's "parking space".

Hur stor pool i Uppsala ska man välja?

Grundregeln är att pumprummet ska sitta så nära poolen som möjligt, men helst inte längre bort än 10 m från poolens kant. Poolvärmepumpen ska sitta så nära inloppen som möjligt för att undvika värmeförluster på vägen till poolen.

Har man inte möjlighet att ha cirkulationspumpen och filter i ett förråd/garage ovan mark, finns det färdiga pumprum att köpa för att sänka ner bakom poolen. Nackdelen med dessa pumprum är dock att vinterstängning blir mer omständig, samt att om det blir läckage kan hela pumprummet fyllas med vatten och förstöra all elektronik.
